Aspire Sports Lab helped me accomplish the most difficult physical challenge of my life! 

I thought I may have bitten off more than I could chew when a friend and I challenged each other to complete an endurance race of more than 50 kilometers with almost 10,000 ft of elevation change. I had been a consistent runner but stuck to my routine 5-7 miles when I ran, having run 1 half marathon and never completed a full marathon I decided to go all out and try for an ultra in the mountains. 

Thankfully, I had Aspire Sports Lab guiding me throughout my training. I only had 8 weeks of training available before race day, but ASL used every single day to prepare me for my race. The weekly programs were always sent to me via email before the week began so that I had ample time to work it into my busy schedule.  The programs were quite varied and kept my mind and body guessing and progressing, my favorite part was that it was so much different than most marathon training that just piled on the miles. Instead my weeks were filled with interval runs, crossfit-style endurance workouts, and time trials; the strategy being to maximize my endurance capacity while keeping my body as fresh as possible for race day. The personalized attention and ability to give and receive feedback was probably my favorite part of using ASL, it helped both myself and my coach get the most out of the process. 

It worked! I felt stronger than ever and managed to conquer every bit of that 50K. I may not have won the race, but completing it injury free was a great accomplishment that I would not have been able to achieve without Aspire Sports Lab. I cannot thank them enough and they will be my first choice for coaching for future challenges!​

When I started training for a half-marathon last fall, I was trying to break a previous PR of 2:01. I was averaging 9 minute miles and had knee pains after I ran. Sean helped me and continues to help me with my running technique and stamina. He directed me towards a proper nutrition plan that helps me have the energy I need to keep a consistent pace. I PRed my half-marathon by almost 10 minutes, averaging an 8:25 pace. These incredible results could have never been achieved without the guidance I received from Sean.

Having been a collegiate swimmer and a couple of Sprint Tris under my belt, I was looking for more - to do my first Half Ironman. Problem was, being a business owner, having a 2 year old daughter, and another baby on the way, I could not commit a massive amount of time to training.

After speaking with Sean concerning my schedule and time conflicts, he was able to create me a training plan that not only fit my limited schedule, but made me preform at a level I could not imagine.

I went into the Half Ironman looking to just finish the race, yet Sean set (what I thought to be) an unrealistic goal of 5:30 based on my training and past triathlon results. Once race day came, I had lost more than 5% body fat and 15 lbs. I was able to complete Ironman Miami 70.3 in 5:19, 11 minutes faster than he thought I could, and over 40 minutes faster than I thought I could. I could not have done this race without his help and his excellent scheduling of workouts around my busy schedule.

Before beginning my training plan with Sean, I had never run more than 3 miles. His plans helped me stay on track and reach my goal of not only completing many obstacle races and a half marathon, but continuing to improve and ultimately reach my personal record of 1:49. I enjoy these plans because they keep me motivated, constantly switching between long runs to build my endurance, and interval training to increase my speed. I am using his training plans again, in the hopes of creating a new PR and potentially completing a marathon.
Aspire Sports Lab is one-on-one strength and conditioning and group fitness facility in Oakland Park, Florida. We offer personal training, athletic training, sports performance, Crossfit, bootcamp, group training and online personal training services that coaches athletes through individualized training plans. We are an affiliate of CrossFit, Inc and located in Oakland Park, FL. Each training program is customized for each individual based on their race and sport of choice. We also offer customized online athletic programming as well as corporate wellness events, corporate wellness initiatives, and employee events. We work with runners, triathletes, obstacle course racers, cyclists, military persons, golfers, mom, ironman triathletes, marathon runners, and more! We are located within minutes of Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Pompano Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale.
